Back in the 80s, people used to tell me I looked like Boy George (i'm a woman). Had to tone down on the eyeshadow after that. lol

Oh, yes. She forgot to unplug the toaster.
No, no, that wasn't it.
Double your pleasure, double your fun, if you pick your twin you are undone
Everyone started giggling hideously. BoogerfishKat turned a sickly shade of green . Her stomach distorted like that poor guy in Alien. She opened her mouth to scream and out spewed........

Tall Dark & Handsome gave her a wink, pointed to a rose growing up through a crack in the pavement, and disappeared.
"Why does that man never stick around?" thought BoogerfishKat peavishly. Walking cautiously to the rose in the pavement and bending down to pluck it, red sparkles sizzled between the rose and BoogerfishKat's tense fingers. The sensation was like sticking her hand in warm soda swirling through a jacuzzi.
POP! FI ZZZ
BoogerfishKat found herself back in the in-between ground near the forest and the mansion. The tiny red faerie man was humming the theme song to The Beverly Hillbillies and dancing a funny jig. He smiled up at her and said, "You haven't been anywhere until you've been to nowhere."
"Wha....." BANG!
BoogerfishKat found herself floating in a red cloud with sparkling images of her sweet little furbabies, the silver tongued faeries, Tall Dark & Handsome, topaz eyes, blue sky eyes, Lucy, BoogerfishKat's twin, and the tiny red faerie man. Each image spoke a mysterious word that reminded BoogerfishKat of something.

BoogerfishKat wished she had paid more attention in her Animal Communications class she had taken at the Adult Education Center. What would a cat, a dog, a rabbit, and a fox say? CDRF.....Call Dwarfed Red Faerie! Oh yes oh yes! BoogerfishKat suddenly remembered in the middle of the clearing between the forest and the mansion, a little red rose bloomed and grew into a tiny red faerie man. This tiny red faerie man had said, "If your name isn't Ethel, then Lucy is not your friend." BoogerfishKat had thought it was just a funny joke at the time, but now, when she most needed it, she had a big clue.
Just then, BoogerfishKat, noticed a red rose in a vase in the diner window. Her excitement bubbled over and she ran into the diner, grabbed the rose, and shouted, "Calling Red Dwarfed Faerie!" BoogerfishKat held her breath, squeezed her eyes shut, and waited for the familiar POP FIZZ.
Nothing! "How embarrassing!" thought BoogerfishKat. All eyes in the diner were on her, staring at her like an escaped lunatic. She ran back out of the diner towards her shiny new sports car, grabbed the door handle, and felt a chilly grip on her shoulder.

Hello all you creative fishies. Oh my god, I have so enjoyed reading this story. Thank you all for the wonderful plot twists, crazy happenings, and Cherb's wonderful illustrations. I arrived in California on January 21st but have not had access to the internet until the last few days. So I am back now. Today, Feb 19th, is my birthday and this story has been a nice gift. I am going to continue the story if anyone else wants to keep going with it.
BoogerfishKat blew out a big sigh of relief, shook her head, and
POP FIZZ
Boogerfishkat was again face to face with her twin. She looked around for Lucy, the sense of forboding growing stronger. Knowing that her choice would change the course of the world, she trembled with the pressure of task before her. Either her twin or Lucy was false. BoogerfishKat thought to herself, "How can I know which one is true? Think, think, think. What was the message? Which one is the faerie to beware of? What is the sign?" Just then BoogerfishKat heard a meow, a soft bark, a snuffling noise, and yipping. Her furry friends were trying to tell her something.

I am packing up the truck and moving to Beverly! OK, not Beverly Hills. I am frantically packing up my house and moving from Arizona to California on Friday! Ack! So much left to do. I won't be able to game and chat much for the next couple of weeks, so I would like to start a fantasy roadtrip thread to read when I arrive on the other side. Also, please pray that the Internet gods will find a way for me to connect up when I get there.
I'll start the first paragraph of this fabulous adventure and please add your outrageous (family friendly) posts:
BoogerfishKat (thank you Purple Haze for my new name ) waited on the platform with anxiously sweating hands, a heart pounding with excitement, and a little trickle down the leg. The announcer called her name in a crackle of static, but the crowd still heard, and a roar of laughter echoed through the area. Nothing made BoogerfishKat happier than a big group laugh. She optimistically accepted the keys and took the first step into her new life.

One memorable moment for me was when I realized that there is more than one Purple in the Pond. Purple Rabbit, Purple Haze, and Purple Diva (please forgive the misspellings). I'm sure I made at least a few Oops! posts before I realized. They are all great posters and I enjoy having them in the pond. I've learned so much about how to participate in a variety of ways from these three. They are great with game advice as well.

Another favorite memory was the thread about googling your screen name. It was interesting to find out who our alter egos are. PrincessChaos got a great big surprise!

Another favorite memory for me was the time I participated in a Lobster Party! It was just crazy fun. It was my first virtual party. Pass the melted butter, please.

One of my favorite memories was the thread about trying to figure out the next MCF after RTR. We all went on so many wild goose chases and had so much fun trying to figure it out. I spent a lot of time on google for that one and learned a lot about the physics of sand. Thanks Picman! The breakthrough moment for me was when EmmyJayne figured out that the name of the town ended in Grove and Picman made the next clue putting her name in code. It was so much fun to see if we could entice Picman to give us just one more! Someone even started a Picman Fan Club thread to entice him to visit us more.

Here's a good one:
While the outlaw spent our money on a who**, Tom thought bitterly.
from The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett ( a novel about building cathedrals in the Middle Ages).
to complete the word with asterisks, just use the first two letters in the subject line of this post.
