I have exactly the same issue - macOS High Sierra 10.13.4. Third game in as many weeks that has failed.
 
 
Game runs on my iMac, High Sierra 10.13.3. Ensure that the game is located in the Applications folder (it can be in a sub-folder, for example, my games are in a folder called Games, in the Application Folder); the iMac operating system requires certain executables which reside in the application folder. If you need to move it to the Application Folder, uninstall it, reinstall it using the Application Folder as the new destination. Just a suggestion, hope this helps.
 
 
The supposed 'fix' to the Mac version continues to fail - the oil STILL cannot be accessed. Beyond belief.
 
 
Add me to the list. MacOS High Sierra; I cannot get back to the oil can, and I also cannot move forward. These constant issues are becoming beyond annoying!

Exact problem as belamba; Brand new iMac, running MacOS Sierra, 10.12.5. Third CE in a row which fails during gameplay. This is becoming more than annoying!

Same problem. Running MacOS 10.12.2. Blows up when clicking the 'green' light which floats on the screen.
 
 
I am also encountering multiple crashes. IMAC, OSX 10.12.1. My system exceeds minimum requirements.

iMac, OS X 10.11.3 - after I open the safe, this game freezes when the newspaper article is displayed; have to Command +Q to exit. This garbage is getting out of hand! BF, you are going downhill rapidly!!
 
 
9autiger, perhaps this will help. Make sure you put the game in the Applications folder on your Mac. You can put it in a subfolder under the Applications folder, however, it must be located in the Applications folder. The OSX for the Mac needs to find the games in the Application folder to properly execute. Hope that helps.
 
 
I am also running OSX 10.10.3, and cannot interact with the scroll after getting blown out of the application. BIG FISH, you are going downhill rapidly!! It is becoming very obvious that BF thinks they have so much business they can afford to lose all of ours. I have been with BF for years, I am an IT professional, and I can tell you that these constant problems with these games failing on a variety of platforms is the result of either no QA, or very poor QA. If I owned this company, heads would be rolling. It is apparent that BF is going to do nothing about these problems; I have severn CE games that have failed, and NOT ONE has been fixed. I would say that BF is spending all of its money on the Casio side of their business, however, they have managed to screw that up also! Almost time to leave this now fly by night company!!

Another bug! I failed to pickup the dog's tale located next to the bow case; I cannot get back to the bow case. These constant issues are really becoming beyond annoying!

Lee_Last, perhaps this will help. Make sure the game is in the Application Folder on your Mac. It can be in a separate folder if you wish, however, it needs to be within the Application Folder. Hope that helps.
 
 
belamba, make sure that the game is under the Applications folder on your MacBook. I have a MacBook, and an iMac widescreen. the Mac's OSX systems require the execution of specific operating system code to execute some of the game code. I load all games into a folder within the Applications folder and never encounter these issues. Hope that helps!

amyfrances, I may have a possible solution for you. On the iMac, make sure that the game application software is in the Applications Folder; it can be in a sub-folder, however, it needs to be under the Applications. The iMac OSX requires specific code to be executed thus it needs to find the game software in the same folder that stores these executables. Hope that helps!

At the conclusion of the scene when speaking to the maid in the servants quarters after I play the HOG scene on the box she is holding, the screen goes black, and the cursor echoes all over. This is the identical problem which occurred in the last few EPIX games. That and freezing in a scene. They need to fix these issues. The last 3 out of 4 EPIX games I have purchased have had either one or both of these issues, and have NOT yet been fixed. iMac OSX 10.9.4; 1tb HD; 16MG Ram; all JAVA and Adobe executables are current.

I am stuck in the underwater scene; when I click on the floating jellyfish (to the left of the screen), it zooms in and freezes. This is the second of many games by this developer in which I have this issue. CS has already been provided Dr Felix, and they cannot figure out the problem. My system is current!! iMac, OSX 10.9.3; 16GB Memory, 1TB hard drive. These constant technical issues are becoming out of hand! BF, you need to have these games beta'd on Macs as well as PCs. Annoying beyond belief!
 
 
I am running iMac, OS X 10.9, and when I give the trapped owl to the fruit monger, the screen goes black, and the cursor echoes all over the screen, and software code appears all over the screen.
