opening the bag does not lead to the presence of a cat where it should be
therefor stuck in the game at this early point .....:-(

Am playing on Mac....
just about 15 minutes into the game
( pretty much still the beginning )
there is a HOS after just getting out of the first building,
past the Museum, in an alley
one of the items to be found is a cat,
for this one has to open a bag
...which i figured out by myself...:-)
but after opening the bag there is only a flash looking like a cat and then no cat to be clicked on....
tried everything :
hint : points at place for cat, but no cat visible and clicking there has no effect.
guide : just shows what I already described, including cat, but in the game the cat remains invisible
player : even changed player and started over, with same result

Any idea how this can be solved ??

I've bought and downloaded the CE on 6th October,
playing on a Mac
( sorry if this is the wrong place : it says : all technical issues here ...)
due to various circumstances I only got to try and play it now.
5 times in a row I got no further then the opening scene : basement window / crowbar, then crash
Decided to check here,
saw somewhere in the maze of forums to uninstall and reinstall.
did it.
error messages re: installing
after a lot of attempt and playing around with settings here and there, this finally worked
( strange , as I'd had it installed before ... )
then gave the game another try :
same story: basement window = crashed game,
also with new profiles etc.
What did I miss :
is there a solution for this problem ?
after all : we're 6 weeks later in history now ...

VERY experienced player : have 350 BF Games, a lot of which CE ...

Exactly same problem here :
Tried everything possible :
Battery iPad fully charged,
All running programs closed,
Restarting iPad after having been entirely shut for 5 minutes ...
Wrote for help to customer service, about 30 minutes ago,
When getting an answer I'll report back here ........:-(

I posted earlier on the thread re: X-Card
Played the game twice from the beginning until Chapter 6,
then checked the Forum,
found nico's brilliant solution,
Played again ( third time ) from the beginning and just finished the game !!
had a few minor issues with minigames, but indeed : those you can skip !!
Really like this game, in spite of the hick-ups !!
Have a Mac and all the updates & xtra's required ...
Will now do the Dr. Felix ...

ok, so I'm one of the suckers who bought it ....
just because there wasn't anything else left that I had not already played and / or bought.

It's not great, but not half as bad as some people make it sound !!

My biggest complaint is :
when you get really stuck there is no alternative way to move on :

can't find the last difference in one of those many mini's ...
asked for a hint already 3 times, but can't tell where that points me to ...
no skip ... no walkthrough ...
so in spite of waisting my freebee I don't know if she finds her son ...hahaha

tried to install the update for mystery trackers CE in game manager, but it's still installing : 6 hours now ....
is that normal ?
... the update for the 13th skull is still waiting there , but I've lost the courage ...
Anyone got advice / experience with this ?
Or should I really uninstall these games and download the updated ones, therewith losing my game progress ... ??

well ...
- reported to CS on december 2nd,
- got reply on december 3rd, including : an update would show up in my game manager
- update showed up in game manager today ( dec 4th ) but has been 'downloading' for 6 hours now .....
* instead of a fix, it seems I have a new problem ....
- reported to CS ... waiting for reply

anyone got a tip here ??

much to my horror : the same here : soda machine approach makes the game quit completely ...... not another 'redemption' .... i hope ??!!
PLEASE : FIX !!!!!
I'm unable to digest this any longer, am waiting for 6 weeks now, and still not a single sign of any fix, communication, or whatever ....
Have had very good experiences with BF so far, including Customer Service, when there were problems, but this SAGA is a big and very unpleasant mystery to me.

Am still very frustrated about redemption cemetery saga, but to be fair :
had a reply re: sinister city crash problem, tried it , and :
BINGO ! problem fixed and could continue to play without any problems ...
this is the advice :

agree ... it's now October 24th here ( Germany ) and I'm spending more time on trying to find some info in some forum, without success by the way, after having reported the problem on September 18th ... !, then on playing games.
5 weeks in the dark is not the way I prefer to spend my precious time.
After all, there was a mail to all who reported this issue, on September 22nd,
so why can't they send the same people some form of information in the following 4,5 weeks ?

We have a great relationship with the developer of this game and are very confident about getting a fix for the issue; however, the developer will be unavailable until Oct. 3, so it may take several weeks for us to release a new version of the game.

In order to proactively prevent this issue from growing any larger, the game has been temporarily pulled from the site as of 3 PM today, and will be republished once we have a fixed version that corrects this issue. Meanwhile, those who have already purchased the game will be able to reinstall it from your online Purchase History to get the new version, once it’s released.
