Welp. Four days (going on five now) w/o being able to play due to the Holiday Event update.

It has been over 72 hours since I submitted my Tech Support ticket and I have yet to receive a response aside the canned "Thank you for contacting Big Fish Games Customer Support" reply.

Guess they have my money now, so ...

It's terribly rude not to at least respond and let people know they're aware of issues and are working on them.

Was quite looking forward to the Christmas event, since everywhere else you turn, the after election junk is going on. I'm thinking about opening a dispute myself, if this doesn't get fixed soon.


I can't play at all, and I'm banned now it seems.

It is definitely not my computer, that much I know for certain.

I am not an unreasonable person. Even if I had received a reply aside the canned responses, I wouldn't be posting w/ such a negative tone. Also, if I hadn't of paid money for pearls, I probably wouldn't care.

But I haven't and I did, so now I'm annoyed. Annoyed enough to start a charge dispute w/ my credit card company.

I'm moving on now. There is quite obviously an issue w/ the update that is affecting a number of players. But I guess not enough people are affected to bother to make an official statement. Seems like the "support team" is going to just ride it through until the Holiday event is over, so that's not a mindset I am willing to continue to support.

Hope the Dev Team gets it together. 10/10 for concept. 2/10 on execution.

I got to play for about 20 mins w/ the Holiday update on Wednesday, then the game crashed and now all I get is a Fatal Error when I try to launch the game. Four days w/o playing now and no response from the support team.

I will tell you that when I had that same issue on the previous update. I ended up solving this issue by connecting my laptop directly to an Ethernet cable and download the update.

So if you are operating wirelessly it wouldn't hurt to give that a try. Don't unplug the Ethernet cable until you've opened the game at least once. After that you can run wirelessly again.

Thank you. I'm not on a wireless network, it is a hardline ether. Unfortunately that didn't help me. I did my update through the BFG game manager and it went through fine. I even played for a bit until the market glitch crashed the game. Now the game won't run. Progress bar hangs at about 75% and stops. Only option is to force quit which give a fatal error. Long and short, I can't play.

I have put a support ticket in.

I have posted to the tech support thread for PC users.

I suppose I'm feeling extra cranky about now as I have yet to receive a response from Tech and post the the tech thread only generated a canned response telling me to create a support ticket. If that's how paying customers get treated (which it seems to be), I'm getting off the bus.

Okay - so they're just gonna lock this thread. That's what they did to me yesterday and I was just looking for some help from others in the community.

I have the same issue and I've found that there are a number of us experiencing this problem.

I put in a support ticket 2 days ago complete w/ crash report and Dr. Felix diagnostic report - no response.

So while there are a "number' of us, I guess there's not enough to really react to it promptly? IDK. But I won't be spending any more actually cash dollars on this game. It's been fraught w/ glitches and bugs, but I hung on thinking it was just growing pains and maybe it is. But this latest round and not being able to play for two days going on three? PFFFFFFFFFFFT!!!!

I updated yesterday. Played a little, I noticed a glitch in the market. When you used the scroll bar to view the seller's baskets, you would end up shot to a "empty market". Empty as in no baskets. This happened a couple of times, but exiting out of the market and going back in seemed to fix it. Then I went to my market to load of my baskets and it was "empty". Exiting and going back in didn't fix it.

Okay time to re-start the game, but when I went to do that it just crashed. So I re-opened it and now the progress bar goes from "checking for updates" to "fetching", then gets three quarters of the way through and just spots. I have to "force "quit which give me a nifty little dialog box titled "FATAL ERROR".

I've tried re-booting the computer.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
I've tried updating shockwave.

These things have worked, I'm left unable to play which is frustrating since a) I'm a paying player and; b) there's event on right now and I'm missing it!

I put in a support ticket yesterday w/ the complete crash dump report and have not heard back.

So I'm posting here to see if anyone at all has any suggestions. If you do, I would really appreciate it!

Please don't lock this, I really would like to get this fixed ASAP.

Apparently you can't say "but" w/ the second "t". So to allow me to re-phrase:

I totally agree on all points. I was excited to finally see a new TM game, but this one is not great (and that's being nice).

I originally came to BFG as a TM fan. It seems over the last six months or so that the frequency and quality of available TM games on here has been reduced substantially. I too and giving serious consideration to canceling my account. In fact, there's about a 98% chance of that happening before my next billing period.

I'm sorry. That's probably a little harsh, but it's true. I played it for a grueling 15 mins and I have nothing good to say.

Thanks all.

It took me a while to figure out that you didn't have to swap out a neighboring piece, but could swap out from anywhere on the playing field - that sure helped.

The timer thing is annoying. As yes, the game clock keeps running but the workers stop whatever they're doing while you're in the mini game. Even more annoying is that you cannot (well I couldn't) readily see that the clock was still ticking away. I was initially thrilled that I'd finally won the mini game for the medium reservoir and then I looked at the game clock and well ... *smacks head on desk*.

Whatever ... for the most part I've given up getting gold or even silver on the majority of the levels anyways. Maybe there will be a "Fruits II" and the dev team will iron out some of these annoying short comings (and there seems to be quite a few). It does seem to the have potential to be a really neat, worthwhile game w/ some work.
