All right, forgive me for startling a sleeping thread, as it were, but I replayed SHIVER for the thousandth time yesterday, and it hit me: how did Christy die? The drawings/notes explain pretty much all of the other victims (with the exception of the old woman at the beginning, I suppose), but we never get a clear answer as to the exact circumstances of her death. After the advice from the old woman and inside the McGwire house, there is a great deal of assumed fire/smoke damage...that's really the only clue. But, if Christy died in a house fire, why didn't her father? Father Orlando writes a note to Mr. McGwire shortly before his death expressing his condolences and the tragedy of outliving his daughter...this is driving me up the wall. I have to know! Any thoughts, Fishies?
