Sorry guys. Didn't mean to offend. I did a listing of the top 60 web game portals (Alexis rated) then looked at the top 40. That's what I based my answer on. Thought it would be sufficient enough research for the cause.

And to be clear, I was referencing only game portals, like BFG. Not private gaming forums. Steam is the only active gaming portal I could find that still maintains a forum, group rooms and chat rooms.

Boom Zap has a gaming forum, as does Pond Friends, Castaways, Genki, and Challengers.

THe name of the forum started a few years back when BFG closed CCC is Pond Friends. You can find it with the popular search engine.

I think if you look around, you'll find that all the other portals have closed their forums. Different reasons for different portals - some have gone Facebook or IOS apps, some cut way back on staffing and didn't want to support forums, but whatever the case, this was pretty much the last portal forum in town.

There are plenty of private forums, like the one that was started when BFG shut down the mainline forums a few years back (Pond Friends) and some others that were started by former BFG forum members quite a few years ago. Some require an invitation to join. Some require a referral from a member (that's just to assure you're not a troublemaker, etc.).

Use a popular search engine to look for gaming forums.

But see, there's a good point - you moderate the Free to Play Games, an on-going revenue providing item. What is gonna happen to us players when we have a problem now? Is some special arrangement gonna be made?

And why should that be when non-club members pay even more for games? What an unkind idea.

Dudes, we've been through this before. And the last time they gave us a deadline, they cut it off before I could get everything my deceased Mom had written copied off! It didn't matter then what we thought and it won't matter now, so stop kidding yourselves. It's not the moderators choice, it's the "BigWigs", and once they make a decision, they don't backoff. And notice, how it's posted conveniently in a game review, where it can be missed by hundreds of of members?

I suggest you use this time to swap PM's with whatever info you want to share with whomever to stay in touch. But if you have looked about at all, you'll have noticed that all the other portals have shut down their forums, too. They've become too high maintenance and they consider moderators as "fluff", expendable bucks.

Since the buyout here, and by their own admission, the new owners are only interested in the Casino, things have seriously changed. The games are second and the forums are way down the list. I suggest that between now and April 30 you use all the coupons and credits you have and then cancel your membership. This isn't the only portal on the planet. Just use the most popular search engine and see what's out there. Like the moderator said, the existing forums will remain, with their existing knowledge intact. (But who knows for how long?)

Gaming doesn't begin or end here-trust me!

It's not "out". The demo version is available only through a particular site - sort of like a group beta testing. The entire game won't be released until around or after mid-year and it will be first available on that site.

It was this way with Hero of the Kingdom II also. The developers struck a deal with that particular portal. That's the way things are done in this business. Some developers have exclusive deals with particular game portals.

It is not a Big Fish Game. Big Fish no longer develops games. They produce games and publish games. They have paid interests in some development companies. Big Fish is a producer, a publisher and a portal.

Lonely Troops is the game developer of the Hero of the Kingdom series. The reason you see the Big Fish logo at the beginning of every game you buy here is because they own the portal. If you get the same game from another portal, you will see a different logo.

However, the dialogue/instructions at the beginning of each location cannot be skipped. There is so much of it that I used much more of the demo time than I cared for. I might buy if there comes a 65 percent off sale.
As always try for yourself.
Happy gaming!

The dialogue/instructions at the beginning of each level may be skipped by entering the options, and unchecking the "hints" .

You guys probably need to log a support call. This thread probably isn't being read by anyone as it's kinda old, even tho there's been a recent update.

I don't want you to hang out here forever waiting for someone to answer you.

The other thing I discovered is that it is impossible to achieve the 50 artifact achievment. There are only 36 glass bottles in the game. You cannot craft 50 from 36, even if you add the previous 12 to them, you still come to 48.

There are always glitches in the achievements to the Moai games since the first one. And even tho they fixed the ones dealing with the statues and the wooden plates, this one remains.

It's stuff like this that leaves paying players very unhappy. If it were a one time thing we could forgive and forget. But repeated performances of the same thing are unforgiveable and sloppy and not worth our money.

If it happens again, I will be the first in line wanting a refund. My suggestion to BFG is they advise **** to seriously and thoroughly test the game. And I suggest BFG have someone do the same. Not just the one chapter thing either.

I have discovered one thing that may be affecting item counts for players.

If you are playing a level for the first time and the level completes before you are able to open all of the chests or other goodies, DO NOT CLICK THE 'REPLAY' BUTTON ON THE END SCREEN..

Instead, make sure you click 'CONTINUE'. The game goes back to the map. Then select the level and replay it.

I discovered if I picked up 2 out of 3 artifacts, and the level finished before I could open the last chest, if I selected "REPLAY" from the end scren, the game half-way acted like I hadn't played the level before...it didn't let me keep the 2 artifacts I'd found.

However, when I replayed the level - those two artifacts were no longer there! Only the one that I hadn't picked up before - so I lost the first 2 items entirely.

When I tested it again, using "CONTINUE" , then re-entering the level, everything was fine--I kept the two items I originally found and the third was still waiting for me.

I lost one leather this way on Level 9, so I had to start the game again. Glad I noticed it early and could test it.

I have Windows 8.1 on my laptop and had no difficulty with this game. I also have a Windows 7 Professional PC and downloaded and played without problems.

Both my machines are up to date with graphics and ancillary services ( i.e., adobe, etc.,)

Again, Big Fish advertises a game in this series with trophies and doesn't include the trophies. It has been the same with each game in this series.

Not that the trophies amount to much, as they are all things you accomplish just by playing the game; however, it is inherently wrong to advertise 'beautiful trophies' when there are no trophies.

This game is identical to others in the series - lame, with nothing new added, except a few bars of "spooky" music after each level. So if you enjoyed the sameness of the others, you will enjoy this one.

On Bonus level 5 there is a trader with gold and a trader with gems. Both traders are seahorses.

Asking the same question 3 times in 3 minutes is a bit much.

You need to relax and take a breath.

Asking twice doesn't make it less obvious - even if you waited a minute to post again.

This is the level with the Kra-Ken. If you're reading the guide, it does give you the directions, you just need to understand what it is saying, which isn't very obvious on this level.

The water gate is in the center of the field. There is a giant squid on top of it. In order to free the water gate and let it rise to the surface, you either have to a) feed the Kra-Ken or b) scare the Kra-Ken.

Feeding the Kra-Ken requires food. Scaring the Kra-Ken requires ore. That's why No. 8 in the guide says " buy 100 units of ore twice if you want to scare the Kra-Ken or 100 units of food 3 times if you want to feed him.

It actually takes 600 food or 600 ore, but you're building up inventory prior to purchasing.

In order to get the achievements, you have to play the level twice - once to feed and once to scare.

Hope this helps. If not, let me know.

Scorpio's correct - there are 3 tasks here: Illumiate the cave, build 4 level 4 quarries, and clear all the stalagmites.

Is there anything still showing in the quest box in the bottom right?

The best I can suggest is do what I did - send the publisher an email or comment relative to your frustration. If enough people do this then maybe they will listen.

If you didn't purchase your game from them, you may want to mention that if you decide you quit purchasing the Maoi games, they will suffer.

If you are unsure of the publisher, PM me, nad I will give you the particulars. I cannot mention the name here.
