The worst part for me is that it happened after a school dance. Someplace that should have been both supervised and safe.

There has been both a tremendous amount of outrage expressed and an outpouring of support for the young lady.

If you search for San Francisco Chronicle, they have been running ongoing updates and Friday's paper had an extensive interview with one of the Richmond police officers assigned to the case.

I know I'm kinda late joining the party here...

Three cheers for Picman!
Gimme a one, Gimme a two, Gimme a three!
Cheers for Picman!
He's the best!
He's twisted and devious
Loves to watch the pond churn over his crumbs

Let's hear it for the Picman!
The biggest, bestest, coolest fishie of them all!
YYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH for PICMAN!

There may not be any new clues yet Still having fun, tho!
Like many, I check the thread daily for the newest speculations...
Loving reading where other fishies brains take them and really, really, really, really, (let me tell you how I feel!) bummed about the delayed release.

As somebody else mentioned ~ I like bugs! I could test it and won't get upset or angry or anything when there is never an acorn in the scene to find, or when I click to return to the map and the screen goes black or, or, or, whatever else might go wrong...

((((HHUUUGGGSSS))))

I don't have fibro but I do have Hashimoto's and there have been days where I couldn't hold my arms up long enough to comb my hair.

Certainly sounds to me like you're getting some great info from the other fishies here in the pond. Thank God for the internet! At least you have a way to network so you aren't isolated, too.

Is it possible to have your prescriptions filled at one of the chains and shipped? Like Rite-Aid or WalMart? Something that isn't local but has the set-up for shipping?

Glad to hear you aren't moving in with Mom ~ being around a heavy smoker can't possibly help your physical condition.

I am so glad to hear that you have some four legged bed warmers. I have seven of my own and boy, do they help with the rough days.

Keeping you in my thoughts.
whisker kisses from my fur babies to you and yours

Not specifically a timer but in the battles the longer you take to complete a spell, the more time the bad guy has to beat you up.
I would definitely give it a shot, tho.
There are three levels of difficulty, Easy, Normal and once completed once, then Hard or Expert or something.
And as mentioned, there are bonuses. You can play monsters independently of the quest and there are 100+ jigsaw puzzles that you can put together.
I have been playing this game since it came out and keep telling myself I need to at least check the demos of the new stuff so I can remove them if I don't like them.
And I keep ending up in Hidden Magic...

If last year is any indication, SheilaDee, we will definitely get more clues. Last year before the release of MCF : RTR we had clues for almost 6 weeks prior.

Picman is the one who provides our clues and not only is BF wrapping up a promo from Oct but in one of his recent posts, he mentioned being sick with a nasty cold.

Just a little patience and we'll have something new to bat around the pond. Or we'll get some red herrings to chase ~ those are fun too!

I tried googling this stuff and mostly came up blank. The Financial Times Lexicon had a definition for the four O's but there was no connection to cold that *I* could see. Hopefully, some of the other fishies will get on this clue cuz I'm lost.
~even WITH my Detective Felix keychain!~

Who knows. Every time I google something I seem to find a connection. Someone elso mentioned Catherine the Great of Russia which seems to tie in with "circus" hint. Could tie in with Madame Fate. Russia would be colder than usual which again ties in with Picman's hint. But then there's the reference to the Ozarks that might be unseasonably cold. The "goner of a wolf" to me would be Little Red Riding Hood and there's a Little Red River in the Ozarks. I went to dictionary.com and looked up wolf and found the name Friedrich August (Augusta located in the Ozarks) but when I looked up Catherine the Great her name was actually Sophia Augusta Frederica. So now I'm back in Russia. It's like a dog chasing it's tail.

Sinsaint,
It looks to me like those would qualify as "like" names...
might be on to something here!

My favorite place name so far is
Devil's Den State Park in the Ozark National Forest in eastern Arkansas.

Haven't found anything that seems to be like named although a translation of
Wiederkehr Village
might shed some light.

Lots of 'villes' in Arkansas...

And on the like named theme:
while not in the Ozarks, these towns are east of Lake Ouachita,
we have Piney and Mountain Pine.

Just north of the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas, we have the town of Huntsville.
Just east of the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas, we have the town of Batesville... oh, oops, showers weren't mentioned!

Back to the map...

It was 1993, and the cassette debut with Impala would be followed quickly by two more releases bearing the Goner imprint: an Oblivians single ("Vietnam War Blues") and Wolf Rock, the full-length debut of a then unknown Tokyo threesome called Guitar Wolf.

Goner has set up a hurricane relief fund through the Trinity Parish Episcopal Church in Searcy, Arkansas, and the money is being dispersed through Goner to those in need.

Well, an Impala is a car.

Wolves in the Smokies
Moon Music: Victor Howls for Revenge
Loose on the AT (Appalachian Trail)

Maybe Victor befriends a were-pack in the Ozarks and sends them out to hunt us down...
Or he lands on the Alpha male in his time box and kills him and becomes the Alpha of the pack

What exactly are the clues pointing us at? I haven't figured out what question we're trying to answer.

..wanders off scratching head, magnifying glass in one hand, deerstalker hat on head and Detective Felix clutched in fist as good luck talisman..

A frozen engine block would prevent starting...

Course we could be in the ice age, which would answer both questions...

Hmmmmmm

According to Wikipedia on Nov 5, 1895:
George B. Selden is granted the first U.S. patent for an automobile

So maybe Mr. Selden didn't receive his royalties?

What car? There was no car.
And if it doesn't start, it's probably out of gas. And the mansion burned down and presumably collapsed the caves so we can't even hike back in and get more from under the schoolhouse.

And if we're in 1895 (the year on the machine Victor jumped in) there were no cars and therefore not only would it not start, it would vanish in a puff of smoke cuz it doesn't exist.
Unless it's an anachronistic anomaly and works cuz physics doesn't change, just our understanding...

Huh? What's FB?

FB is Facebook, Sinsaint.
Last year prior to the release of RTR, one of the awesome fishes here started a MCF Detective Agency group.

go to thread

'Picman, I'm on strike'

If I was more technically savvy, I'd post the link for you to make it
'easy, peasy, lemon, squeezy' as the Geico lizard says but I'm not so I can't.

You don't need any help....
The two of you are handling everything great!
Since Felicia is still fairly young, the food issue should become less of a problem. I am not a vet, just a kitty lover, so I can't guarantee anything.
I ended up with a trio of cats (Mom and two of her kits) that while not scrawny or strays, hadn't been cared for properly. (No shots, none fixed, never been to the vet ~ kittens were 3/4 months old, Mom was just about a year and pregnant for the third time)
I was going to find them new homes...
that was two years ago.
When I fed them, they would bolt their food and then promptly throw it up. I spent a lot of time cleaning up the floor (thank goodness for linoleum!)
I started putting down less food, more often. Ideally, I was feeding them four times a day, about 1/4 can (5.5 oz) of canned cat food.
It took about 6 months but they did stop bolting their food and I now feed them 2 or 3 times a day, with 1/4 cup dry before I go to bed.
They do better when they can nibble while I'm sleeping.
I had a stray follow me home and she was so thin when I petted her that I couldn't not feed her. She's in the master bedroom now until at least after Halloween. I'm hoping that by then she'll realize the other kitties are her friends.
She is very sweet with people, rubs all over them, follows around the yard, but if you've got four legs.... hiss, spit, snarl!!!!

Congrats on the new baby in your life! They are so worth the time and expense.
