Did he also tell you that BFG has been sold by Churchill Downs to Aristocrat Technologies for $990 million dollars? Do you think at that price Aristocrat is interested in advancing FTP games? They're into high stakes gambling, on and offline, slots, etc. Time will tell. I think BFG will be moving in an entirely different direction if their new owners deem it more profitable.

As sad as it is, I believe it's not just the forums that are closing down. I have a feeling Big Fish Games will soon be going in a very different direction.

Churchill Downs recently sold Big Fish Games to Aristocrat Technologies which is a social online casino company. There's no guarantee that Aristocrat will continue the format which has been Big Fish Games' model. It will likely just become a gambling site. Would they have paid $990 million for FTP games?

I hope I'm wrong but I think the writing is on the wall.

Interesting. But this is not about a game. It's about the friendships.

I've had them torn away, trust me - it hurts.

We're not trying to save BFG. We're trying to save a community.

Cheers,

I totally agree that there are some wonderful and helpful people here on the forum and I hope the community will continue elsewhere.

My concern is also about the game we have all invested so much time (and money) over the years. I would like the game to continue but chances are it will end. My other concern is that the Moderators were not entirely forthcoming with the very important information of the sale and what the future of the game is, announcing only the end of the forum.

Money can be a defining factor but I have a feeling that withholding our few dollars will have very little impact. Not to be a Debbie Downer but Churchill Downs just sold Big Fish Games to Aristocrat Technologies, which is an online casino company, for $990 million dollars. For that kind of money I think FTP games is not on their list of priorities. Online gambling is their thing.

BFG will likely be going in an entirely different direction in the near future.

Hope I'm wrong, though.

Minnesota? I thought BFG is in Seattle.

I have a friend on level 10, with a new name, Taj. Just now I got a message when I tried to enter the spring room "This friend has updated to a new version of the game. To access the room please update your game"....or something like that. Yesterday Taj had a different name and yesterday I was able to enter the spring room. Strange.

Hello, This is Tajja - I am playing the new game now as just - Taj - Hopefully they can restore my game that was lost (vanished!) I don't think it's going to be possible though. All of my regular friends are still on my NEW game, isn't that strange? You would think that all would be lost. That's why you are still seeing me as a new player. My ID stayed the same on the NEW game so there is nothing to go back to, except my friends. I WAS on level 17 or 19, not sure which but I lost a really good game. Everyone had guided me through my first game with such good tips and help. I'm playing like crazy to get back. Some have stated that BF will restore what they can of my game so maybe I will get a portion of my game back. Hope to see you out there soon!

Well, I see your game has progressed to Level 11 now but I still can't get into your room and your wish list is closed so I'm guessing that your game has not been restored.

I know you still need the pets so put the pet parts on your wish list. I have lots of parts and your other friends will help you out too. You'll get those pets!

Good luck,
Siber (in the game)

I'm taking you up on that siberlene and shall be expecting.... NAY, DEMANDING, a full report complete with pictures, av clips and a competition at the end. I thought my cold turkey had plateaued out, but today is actually worse - I've had to resort to playing Candy Crush whilst I wait. NOOOOOooooooooo.

x

Okey Doke. Consider it done. I don't have his exact location but since he works for BFG and makes the big bucks I will limit my search to houses over 10,000 sq. ft. with a Tesla in the driveway and luxury penthouses. Shouldn't take more than a week.

Full report forthcoming.

Do they swim in the pond on weekends? I had issues a couple of years ago and don't recall receiving emails on a weekend. 'Course my mind has turned into MC Mush so I'm not sure.

Yes, it's working now. Please don't feel compelled to gift back. You've got a lot of catching up to do with the game.

Now that the tournaments are over (thankfully), I wish they would make it available some other way. Since it was hard earned in the tournaments they could make it difficult to earn within the game. Just a thought.

Welcome back, Temshi. I notice that your wish list is empty. Looking forward to helping you build up your inventory again.

Good luck,

You should look at your friends' list. If most of your friends are at a high level, I think they'd prefer Spring Room 2. The idea of half'n'half is a good one though.

Few things make me angry but I'm getting close. I have a friend (who may soon not be) who is among the top scorers in the new Spring Room 2, yet they have their own room set to Christmas 2. Why? It's so selfish.

Those items were required to craft the spring pets during the last event, weren't they? I don't see where they are required this event so I'm wondering if it would be safe to disenchant them for shards, holding back a few for gifting. Furnishing the new room requires a lot of shards. A lot!

Weren't there also some items of furniture that could be purchased with diamonds? I've been doing puzzles like crazy to earn diamonds in case more furniture comes along. Oh well. Memory comes and memory goes. Mine left right about the time that....hmm, I can't remember.

Yes, not wanting to be wasteful, I try to combine the DQs with Trina as well.

Congratulations to those who have actually achieved the goals!

When Trina first appeared I thought the 5,000 and 3,000 amounts were typos but after a few updates and the amounts didn't change, I realized they were not so I diligently, and with great determination, continued doing the DQs in order to satisfy her. I thought I was doing pretty well until I realized today that I have barely broken the 800 mark. Sheesh. Considering that the DQs are suspended for 3 months every year for the Spring, Fall and Winter Events, are these goals are even possible?

Has anyone reached the goal? Is anyone close?

Just wondering.
