So has anyone bought the Mater Herba Botanica in the Antique Shop? And does it lead to other worlds per the hint (I keep hoping there's more still hidden in the game...) Mater Herba is showing as 144,400 coins for me now, at level 57. The Ficus plant is still gold bars but says it will change to coins at level 64.

I played Christmas Alley and Ohio both anyway but no lunchbox. Sigh. Maybe next year.

The good news is that I got my pet Penguin for Christmas.

When you replay the first quest and accept it. the second quest will appear...it resets when you leave the game..

Sadly NEITHER the first nor 2nd special event quest for today is reappearing. Like you, I thought that either both would reset / re-appear or at least the 2nd one that I'd not started would still be available. No such luck.

I noticed that the coin slot seems to be paying out generously here at Christmas time. I'd not played it in quite a while, but thought I'd see whether it would hand me some tweezers yesterday. No bundles in my brief play but very nice collectibles payout 10 of 12 times, coin payout once.

Thread is also a reward for some of the collections

Photos of Men - Thread 10

Gent photo - New Mexico
Officer photo - Kansas
Scarf photo - Nevada
Strongman - 3 Park Ranger
Young Turk - 3 Crawford Fishery

You can also, in theory, get 15 for Dazzling Brooch, but that requires the Mythical Cameo which takes 7 Thread at Theodi's Tailor Shop, and doesn't always drop, so you don't wind up ahead.

Yes - Here's the link to "Where to Find New Resources" that lists all of these

OK - stashing another 24 gold for pet accessories during Thanksgiving & Christmas and will keep a raspberry sherbet in reserve. And I just splurged on a diamond necklace collar for the cat. So pampered.

Thanks, Oddly - I can set aside 50 bars of gold and anticipate smiles (and Penguin barks) for Christmas!

So excited to have more gold right now, thanks to Halloween quests. And I was all ready to spend it on resources to finish a few more museum buildings when I heard a small inner-child's voice say "But I was saving up to buy a Penguin for Christmas". LOL

Does anyone know what the cost of a penguin will be (and is it coins or gold)?

Is your pet the cat with the Egyptian collar? Have you tried clicking the cat after pulling the star machine lever?

Also, are you sure you have the most current version of the game? There was an important update that resolved the no-drop of airplane parts in the casino.

You might be able to ask for some gold to be restored if the loss was due to game bug -- can't hurt to request it via customer support.

The letters refer to the first and second mini-games that require 1 thread to play. 1a is the Silver Weave button. 1b is the red square button, Quadra Hypno.

Each of the collectible sets, when completed, will display a clue. Click on that paper clue to be taken to quest(s). When the correct quest is completed, you'll find a stolen painting.

The thread at this spot within the forum tells you where to find the pieces for the collectible.

I understand that some haven't come up yet but the ones that have I didn't even get. That is what I'm wondering about. I got the quests and played them but none of these have popped up in my collectables. I am a level 47 and have every area open to me so I don't get it.

Are you at Connosisseur level in all the timed-quest cities? That's a requirement for getting the collectable. I know that I wasn't, and very-much appreciated the heads-up at the top of this thread so I played more than a few extra rounds in those cities to get ready for Valentines Quest.

I have a slightly different Observatory Quests issue. I did have the foundation quest for the Observatory, thought I gave all resources (cement, gravel, lumber) for that, but it's not allowing me to click/enter the Observatory space, nor showing time lag to build the foundation. I now have what I think may be the structure quest - asking for cement block, steel rods and bricks - but the quest top line still says the foundation must be built. Hints on how to get the foundation to start are welcome or was the foundation a 2-part quest?

Have you tried using the "next quest" button from the lower edge of one of your other quests to scroll thru them all? The up/down arrow on the left side stack of quests was cumbersome for me to use, and it was easy to miss clicking on one / lose track, since you had to close each quest before opening the next.

Stormy9 wrote:Is there a master list of how many of each of the supplies we need to have to build all the buildings in the AES compound, nails, cement, etc.? I'm low on fuel. Thanks!!

I haven't seen one but here are a few notes about the cost of just the Foundation portions of various buildings, to give you some idea.

Observatory - 12 gravel, 20 cement, 19 lumber

Chess - 30 gravel, 29 cement, 19 lumber

TIme Machine - 30 gravel, 11 cement, 30 lumber

Tiny, but the typo (missing word) in the AES Office sign quest from Fatima could be easily corrected. She says : This piece of the AES sign needs to __ ordered in parts. should have the word "be" before "ordered".

A small bug, I think. When a keepsake that doubles coins is active, the snow shovel still gives only 1 coin. I think it should give 2 -- lawn mowing gave 2 in that situation.

SUGIE wrote:In Quest, the quest required winning Red Wagon and Red Rolla at auction. I have won both Red Wagon and Red Rolla in Auction, but the quest is not recognizing I have won either of these.

Help please.
Thank you

For the Museum sign sub-quests, which I only started after the January 26 update, although the Museum Director quests for car photos or stamps or car parts point to the Auction when you click GO, you actually must instead earn the item by playing a mini-game! You get no credit for winning the item at auction but I discovered when I went to a mini-game and "earned" one (planning to place on auction for exchange), that portion of the Quest was checkmarked as done. There's a discussion thread that lists which mini-game has each item to complete these quests. http://forums.bigfishgames.com/posts/list/344199.page
