I am in the Tower and need the doll's eye. However, It is nowhere to be found. I can't finish this great game without it. Please help.

I have gotten to the Apothecary, but am unable to collect the Hand Pump. One part is missing and I can not find it anywhere. There should be something to hold the bottom piece of the hand pump onto the pump itself but I can't find it or any reference to it in the Collector's Edition Guide. Please help. I am unable to finish my game.
