Ok so I laid down for a nap and my left side (under my ribcage) is starting to hurt plus I can feel and hear a rattling in my left lung. I have called my dr's office, just waiting on a return call from them. Am needing thoughts and prayers if you please I would appreciate it. I am really nervous about having to go back into the hospital again, but I want to feel better as well. I will update if I can. (I have no laptop, nor does the hospital have WIFI).

I've been crying off and on all day (those stupid hormones finally caught up to me!) because I've been fighting my local medicaid office for over a month to get medical coverage for this pregnancy. Well I've just received the best call ever, where the kindest lady ever to grace this planet assured me I am certified for Medicaid and can pick up a temporary copy in the morning, and what do I do? Sob and sob and sob some more since. Such a great relief. I just think it's a bit sad that it took a hospital stay to get me covered. Never mind I had lost my job.

Anyways just felt like sharing my tears with someone, thank you for reading and your responses.

I buy a LOT of great value products but one thing I refuse to buy in generic is potato chips. I'm sorry to those who do eat them, but the few times I've tried always thought tasted like cardboard with extra salt for flavor. So I stick to the name brand on the chips. Depends on the drinks, I like some of the "generic" sodas better than name brand, but Mountain Dew I will always buy name brand lol Mountain Thunder just doesn't even come close!

Sorry I haven't been on much, just released from the hospital today, for those who befriended me on facebook might already know this, was admitted wed night/early thurs morn for a vicious bacterial infection that (thank god!) responded well to antibiotics. I feel so much better today compared to wednesday night, as I was in intense pain.

The baby in my belly is doing fine, got to see him on the ultrasound again on Thursday when they were checking all my organs to see where the infection was coming from (they still don't know) but everything checks out, which is a relief.

So glad to be back home.

Sorry if I missed out on anything in the pond.

According to my display adaptors, I have NVIDIA GeForce GX 5200.

But I don't think the problem is my display. It's quicktime. I remember using it whenever I first had this computer, but even with all the install/unistall to try to find a compatible version, I can't even open quicktime anymore. It just goes to the same error box I get with Myst. So this is a quicktime error in my opinion, not my hardware error.

I've googled all I could and tried everything I've found, and nothing has worked yet. Basically I'm just gonna have to put the game up as bought in error because I refuse to downgrade my computer just to play the game. Sad. You'd think in todays day of technology, the company, when reselling the game, would update the graphics or hardware or use a different software program than quicktime.

I do appreciate all the help and responses. I am at my wit's end so to speak.

Thank you for all your hugs and comments and support. I really need it now, as I'm just feeling depressed. I knew we'd have no work during the Christmas holidays, usually it's two weeks, so this came as a shock, I mean, the being told not eligible for rehire until next August ... that's so much further away than the delivery of this baby I'm carrying.

I will do my best, I always do, and even if I don't, I do have friends and family willing and able to help support me. I just hate feeling dependent on someone, guess I'm too independent for my own good.

So I received a phone call from work, upon which I was advised I was laid off, and they are not considering possible rehire until August of 2010. I know the holiday season is always hard, we usually have a couple weeks of "down time" but still.

Being three months pregnant isn't helping me either. Sometimes I truly wonder why I even try.

I cannot be sure, but I suspect the problem you are having with running myst is Windows Vista's security. BFG has a description of how to deal with this for their games, and you may be able to apply it to your situation. Check out

EDIT: Oh, and you may need to right click on the game and click
"run as administrator" as well. Back in the day, programmers did not
worry about security AT ALL.

Edit : there is no "run as administrator" option on Myst lol but I did try to run compatibility wizard and that didn't help.
When I put the CD/DVD in, it does open the AutoRun option screen (Play, Quit, Install Quicktime, Install Direct X, ect). It's selecting play, that causes it to go to a black screen, and then the pop up of "Myst.exe has encountered a problem and must close". I don't know how to see what that problem is. I really hope a computer wizard here in the pond can help me out.

I bought Myst 10th anniversary DVD edition from Best Buy a week or so ago, because I remembered the recommendations on this site.

However, I cannot get it to play! I've tried changing my settings and what not, and all it does after installation (including unistalling quicktime/directx and installing from the disc) is open to a black screen, then I get a microsoft pop up "Myst.exe has found a problem. send or don't send" type message. Not anything more specific than that.

I too never heard of "lots of love" for LOL ... it's always been laugh out loud for me, the capitalization just indicates more funny than normal (for me, that's how I use it.) If I lower case it, lol, ok it got my attention, yeah I laughed, but if I LOL omg it's so funny almost quite ROFL but not quite (so does capital ROFL mean Room (oh so) Full (of) Love????) soooooooo.........

Maybe it depends on the generation ... *shrugs* ....... not sure but in my book, lol or LOL is always laughing out loud!

Nope, I am not.

I even had to sign a waiver of rights (or whatever) at my ob-gyn's office stating that I knew I was refusing the flu shot. Good grief. I was like, can't I just say no and you just write on my records I said no?
