From my experience and comments from others, the Valley of Death is from Berlin through Seoul. So congratulations Lambina, you made it through!

Fishfinder, by making it to Seoul you are through the worst. Like lordkalvan, I finished Seoul with very few coins or boosts. I was in much better shape by the time I got through Tahiti. The cities after Seoul do not require the number of boosts or buying extra turns that the "valley of death" cities require. Hope you find this encouraging.

Same thing here. I would really, really miss the posts by the senior community! I don't post often but look at it daily.

Although I struggled for a long time to earn whatever coins I needed, I now have tens of thousands of them and don't see any point in collecting thousands more just for their own sake. I seem to be able to get an average of two cities finished completely whilst waiting for the next new one to be released.
Guess I should probably find something more productive to do with my time!

I have completed a number of cities. My experience follows.

Sydney through Rome -- not too difficult or expensive
Berlin through Seoul -- very difficult, very expensive
Things really ease up after Seoul as I don't remember any city being terribly difficult or expensive. There are levels even in the easier cities that are maddening, but that is what the coins, boosts, mods and customer support are for. I am currently trying to finish Manila so am down to the hardest levels.

I am a completionist as well. Once I completed around ten cities and saw the buildup of coins and boosts, I was convinced that was the best strategy for me. If you complete cities and can fill in any missing data from the Completion Rewards thread, it will be appreciated. You can PM me or glitter2goldfish with the information. Good luck!

Thanks lawaters. I doubt I would have noticed this without your pointing it out.

Maudcat, I always try for 100% completion of each city. This was challenging in earlier cities, as you are experiencing. But further into the game, at some point after Los Angeles, it became easier. Completion gives you significant coins and boosts which really build up after many cities. There always seem to be several levels that seem impossible. I have found if I patiently replay them, something breaks loose around the fifth attempt. Although I did have to contact Customer Support with two tricky levels in LA. Check out Completion Rewards in Helpful Links to help determine if it is worth it for you.

Jules, That is a good strategy. I realized the same thing recently and have found that it makes me play more aggressively and there have been times when it takes a long time to burn all my lives. Thanks for sharing.
