I just finished playing the 90 minute demo; for me it promised much and delivered little, it was just too preditctable and tired as a format. Music really annoying, usual back and forth and hidden objects, broken locks and keys, it's been done to death, and then some, before. I liked the idea of a virtual reality detective, I thought it was really original, but once you got into the VR pod it just went into a very tired, boring standard fantasy hidden object game. It was just so stereotypical in its role of the innocent girl, the wicked queen, games were nothing new and didn't challenge, I was relieved when it was over, a no buy for me. I don't think I could be bothered playing this one to the end even if it were free. Having come from playing the new MCF Broken Hour and Catch me When you Can, this was a big disappointment from a game company I used to think were one of the best, Elephant Games.

2/5

Mine too...I love this game and I feel heavily invested in it. My computer just crshed without warning, and it never ever does that, restarted machine all fine, until I tried to restart Agency 33, and now it just says windows has detected an error and needs to close, I have done all the usual stuff like uninstall and reinstalled, I really want to carry on with this game I was hooked! And now it won't even let me in, it jsut crashes, I've even rolled back the data to before the crash on the whole computer and uninstalled it and reinstalled it but there is no difference at all. it's all not working now. Screen goes black, then white and then error message and crashes- please help!!! xxx

I have the same problem as all of the above, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have invested a lot of time in this game and was on Level 35 and really enjoying it. Then it crashed and every time I try to load i get a fatal error and it leaves me with a blank screen. I have even tried rolling back all my data to the start of the week long before I was experiencing problems, I've already had to restart on a different machine once with the same problem and it seems BFG are ignoring us. I am really disappointed, yes the game had a lot of bugs and there just wasn't enough care put in before it was released, and yes it's sort of free to play but this isn't on.

I've been a customer of BFGfor a long long time and now I'm going to end my subscription as free or not you can't just release a game full of bugs where you win one thing on the roulette wheel and it gives you something else entirely- that's not free when you are paying for the coins/orbs etc to make the roulette chips in the first place. My computer is an i7 with top of the range graphics card which will ply anything so I don't believe the guff about my laptop being the problem, and then to just ignore the issue when loads of people are having the same problem is just not good enough.

I'm done.

Update- I have a gong object from playing Asian Market!!!!!

Well, actually, looking on the relic screen I alredy had one I didn't know about, and I just got a lucky cat, and guess what, despite having two relics on the inventory, it is only registering ONE for the quest, so I guess I will have to keep plugging away, but I have hope!! Thank You so much, and of you have anymore guidance for me I would really appreciate it, it's now 7:30am here in the UK, my kids will be up for school in half an hour and I still haven't been to sleep!!

does anyone know where I can get the instructions to make the Rune sign and the sword?

Have I missed something or does my version have glitch? I didn't seem to get anything when I opened the letter box number 4 with the sewing machine sign, it just shows a thing in brown paper I can't do anything with, all I have in my inventory is the Griffin, not the one that goes outside the library door as it doesn't fit?

Also the sign thing I made for the strange mask thing outside the library did nothing, I fitted it in the gallery instead and it opened up the sword slot, which I have ready to make but no instructions, just like the strange painting I opened to find a note and a fishing hook in the hallway of the mansion downstairs- what am I meant to do with this hook as it just says I shouldn't get too attached to it?!!

Thanks Guys, that makes sense, playing the market until it gives me the two pieces I need for the quest; I have the stuff to make the sword and the rune sign and the money but as I don't formally have instructions to make them it isn't letting me create them and thats why I am so annoyed as there seems to be literally nothing left to do quest wise and until your suggestion no way of gettign the Imperial gong relic elements either, and with all the glitches my confidence is low in this game which is a real shame as the concept is really good but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Everything I try to do just tells me to make a Rune sign i have no instructions for or a sword I have no instructions for or to complete the Imperial Gong relic quest!

Thanks so much for you help, ironically the Asian Market was one I have played least and the only one not on level 5 so that may explain why I have not picked up anything, and I am not gettign the objects fast enough to get gifts as my knowledge is not good on that one so any more hints and tips are much appreciated. xxx

klfrr wrote:Psycho, the Imperial Gong rift is in the cemetery, but if you don't have access to the cemetery, yet, then play the Asian Market

Thanks klfrr, I have the Asian Market open up to and including level 4, but I have got nowhere all day and I am losing the will to live, even when I save money and play roulette and won a chest, suddenly it's giving me a Feng Shui Amulet I already have 10 of and not the chest I won, there are so many glitches in this game I am so fed up with it, why does it keep telling me to fix the bridge to get to the observatory by banishing a centaur I have no way of accessing without paying? Every hint directs me to get two relic elements from the Imperial Gong I can't get to and the dog one which I have got several of, it's not offering me any way of getting there, do I have to get Asian Market up to level 5 to get something?

Thanks for your help

The most current problem is with the ROULETTE TABLE I spun and got a chest that said PICK A CHEST on it. I picked a chest it popped up a 30x of ORBS (image) and then it flung a salad (an Energy Salad) at me. Salad is good, but I would prefer the 30x Orbs it said I had selected. It has done this to me twice now and I believe a couple other times only then I was not paying close attention to it. However, I am positive it is doing it now as I have watched it do it to me twice now. "

Me too, I am having the same problem, and I eventually get a standard reply from BFG telling me to uninstall and reinstall game when it gets a fatal error, when I have already tried this and they are just ignoring it, this game is a pure rip off money making racket, I am giving up on it, I have installed every update and its just made more stuff go wrong. I bought from BFG because they used to be a good reputable company offering refunds when a game is not up to scratch, now it doesnt care it's just messing its loyal customers around an blaming the developers when it goes wrong.

Sorry BFG our contract is with YOU- and the bottom line is you shouldn't be putting out these games in this state, people are investing time and money in these games to be ripped off and ignored by customer service, it's not on. I have been a loyal and high spending customer for as long as I can remember, but since the Collectors edition scam came out the quality went down and now the casino and FTP- supposedly free to play games are so defective it's wasting everyone's time, and it's a shame as the idea behind this game is good, but the energy required to play lasts about 3 mins and recharges so slowly, then there's the faults that set it's customers on a fools errand for weeks, and if I wanted to play dodgy games that cause fatal errors on my computer or give me one thing when I've won something else entirely I could play on a dodgy website for free anytime, BFG used to be synonymous with quality, but apparently not anymore.

I expected better from you BFG

Please Help!! I am on level 28, I have opened the cemetery in Paris and placed the Sun but I can't get the gate open; clicking on help it tells me to get the anomaly with the gong, which is up as a quest, but I can't get access to that area as I have only placed one ring in the library door and the pin is still stuck, I have most of the items to make the sword and the rune sign except I can't as I haven't foun the instructions for making it yet. every time I press hint it tells me to fix the bridge to the conservatory, but to do this I need to banish the centaur or the fire elemental, and I can't get access to that anomaly area I suspect is in the library itself, it's got to where there is no more quests for me to solve as I can't move forward, all I have in my inventory is the griffin sign and I cant find anywhere for it to go yet, there is nothing else of any consequence I can make, there is a hook in the painting downstairs in the mansion, do I need to do something with that? Also in the locked box number 4 I have done the sewing machine bit and there is something in there wrapped in brown paper which when I click on it it says it will be the hardest cut, but I have nothing to cut it with and no quest to move me forward, I have created everything I can I cannot make or do anything more and I seem to be stuck as it keeps telling me to banish the centaur to repair the bridge to the conservatory, but I can't as I can't access the area to get the right anomaly relics to banish him, it's a chicken and the egg situation!

I have no orbs to skip with and am not close to making anymore acheivements, got about 15k to go before I hit level 30, not sure if that will miraculously open anything, it is also telling me to make the Rune sign which I have the stuff for but can't make as I have not discovered the instructions for it and clicking on hint just tells me to banish the Centaur and fix the bridge by doing the gong anomaly relix I can't access!! Agh!!!

Thanks in advance. xxx

Well I wasted 3 days on this game, don't get me wrong I really enjoyed it, made loads of things, levelled right up, defeated four characters and loads of energy reserves, totally loved it, then over night I decided to install the update, then when I reloaded the game it says "profile corrupted please make a new one" and started the game again, I am NOT HAPPY! I don't want to do it all again, it seems like you have released this game half working and don't care less when people lose stuff cos it's half finished, jsut cos it's free to play doesn't mean it should be released broken and faulty- I uninstalled and reinstalled and now the game won't even load I just get a cursor and blank screen, no option to do anything, so it won't even play for me now, I have wasted 3 days playing this, I am so annoyed, I was really invested in this game and just as I installed the updates I now had my profile wiped and can't play at all.

Get it sorted BFG or I am not going to buy games from you anymore and will end my membership after being with you from the start.

I understand they were all mannequins, 'so it's all okay', but the the gist of the game was that they were representations of real events in Charles life. I didn't enjoy watching babies blowing up, giving electric shock treatment, killing, abusing pregnant women and spanking children. BFG, you went too far and there was no need and I wish I would have known. The warning although there was not enough and felt more like publicity. I am sure there will be others that think I am too sensitive, that I shouldn't have carried on with the game, or be shouting out 'It's just a game' but I felt truly uncomfortable and that I was condoning abuse by playing it.

I totally agree, it was in very poor taste..The bit in the security hut where they show real dead victorian children on the notice board when finding the morphing hidden objects was the final straw, it's not fair to claim we were warned, we were expecting a scare as it's a psychological thriller, not pictures of dead babies and small kids which although long ago were totally real, it's off the scale unacceptable and totally unethical- people playing may have lost children of their own and would be even more affected by that than I was, it just isn't decent to turn up images like that in a game, its total exploitation, no consent of those families can be obtained due to the passage of time but what an insult to the memory of those children. Shame on you BFG.

Well I just finished the Standard Edition, the storyline was great, and I loved the way that we are forced to look at why Charles ended up the way he did. I am a big fan of MCF and this one was overall value for money- HOWEVER: and this is a big one for me, I am not a prude, I love a psychological thriller and a scare, I did think the inclusion of real life photos of dead victorian children in the security guards hut to the mental asylum was in very poor taste, and wholly unnecessary for the tone of the game, yes we were warned about an intense psychological thriller, but dead children from real life is something else, and if someone played this who had lost children I imagine that it would be pretty traumatic. I largely enjoyed the game and loved the continuation of the ravenhearst storyline but I have to admit I was rather disturbed that BFG thought it was ok to just include these pics without a second thought. Yes these kids and their ancestors will be long gone so no consent can be sought but it's surely about respect for the dead and what is tasteful and decent. I have minor gripes about the morphing objects being a miss and the fact that there was a diary that was totally unhelpful in keeping codes and numbers and the puzzles were totally obscure in places, but my major issue is with the pictures of the dead children, this is off the scale unacceptable and ruined the game for me.

Totally Agree........Thought I was the only person on here who totally hated this game, waste of 4 hours of my life, kept on thinking and hoping it would get better- it really didn't, I guess some people love doing the same stuff over and over, it made you do every Fragmented **** scene at least four times looking for curly things hidden in other curly things, ridiculous. The puzzles were an insult and the storyline was well told but entirely predictable from the first ten mins...well dodged, all the puzzles were matching coloured bases to other colours in between blindingly obvious clues...Shame the developers feel the need to dumb it down so much it's insulting.

Have to agree with Prostate- this game was so repetitive, the storyline I worked out the min the Mayor appeared in the foyer and there was nothing original in this game, they made you do the same fragmented hidden objects over and over and then some more just to drag it out, so annoyed I wasted my money, can bear HOG if there is a good story and decent interim puzzles but this was worse in that there were actually bits of the same objects over and over it was mind numbing, so annoyed it's an insult to intelligence it really is. Hoping Sacra Terra is going to be better, would be furious if I paid full CE price for this and there wasn't a sale on. Come on BFG, you can produce far better than this!

How do you get into the 9 club or the 12 club? I have been everywhere, done every course and have a top job as a leading actor and that still doesn't do it- wish this game gave better instructions cos the idea is good though the tasks are fundamentally flawed if noone has a clue what to do to meet the goals?!
